RIBATE instalss a warehouse optimisation system in ITPmay 28, 2007 Ribate has developed a system to optimise the organisation of ITP's warehouses and has analysed their production processes. In order to adapt the company's warehouse system to the current and future needs of its customers over the period 2007 - 2013, Ribate has enhanced ITP's use of its current resources. All this has been done with a total minimum investment in handling equipment as RIBATE has concentrated on securing high synergy levels between the different warehouses. The optimisation process culminated in the introduction of a strategy to gradually increase the company's warehouse volume, maintaining the efficient operation of the system in order to attend to the demanding specifications of customers in the aeronautics sector, and improving the flexibility of available installations and resources. Production Processes Through the use of computerised simulation models, Ribate estimated the future characteristics of ITP's production processes to satisfy the needs of their customers. The project was based on an assessment of the current and future situation of the company's production processes through predictions of the future demands and the specifications of customers in the aeronautics sector with regard to quantities, quality, variety and delivery dates. The final aim was to estimate the future capacity of their production processes by adjusting current resources, both with regard to quantity and flexibility, to the changing needs of customers.
